Center for Urban Horticulture
University of Washington
3501 NE 41st Street, Seattle, WA

Following a delicious dinner prepared by the PCC delis, we’ll be discussing what our co-op is doing and plans to do to maintain its competitive edge in our market. We’ll talk about the ways PCC’s values impact the way we do business.
Our CEO Tracy Wolpert will moderate a panel of his management staff who will speak about a number of topics, i.e., our stellar staff benefits, product selection criteria, the Horizon decision, PCC’s cooperation with other co-ops across the country, our growth strategy, our commitment to sustainability, as well as our education and community outreach programs.
There will be ample opportunity for members to ask questions.
Download directions to the Center for Urban Horticulture (PDF) or call 206-547-1222.
[Due to tremendous member response, we cannot accept any more reservations for the fall member meeting dinner. Please check back in member meetings by November 1 and in the December Sound Consumer for reports and photos from the meeting.]
Application deadline nears
The nominating committee is hard at work recruiting board applicants. “The job of trustee is an essential element of our co-op governance structure, and we need people who have the time and expertise to contribute to PCC in this way,” notes committee chair Kim Norton.
“We’re looking for people with pertinent experience, such as finance, retail, grocery, commercial real estate, public relations, human relations, environmental design and construction, farming, information technology and health sciences” adds Norton. Trustees serve a three-year term and receive an annual stipend.
Email nominatingcommittee@pccmarkets.com for an application packet. Application deadline is December 5. For more information, please visit our election section.
