Driscoll's boycott ends

PCC Natural Markets is pleased that the farmworkers of Familias Unidas por la Justicia (FUJ) have agreed officially to an election and negotiation process for a collective bargaining agreement with Sakuma Bros. Farm. As a result, they are ending their boycott against Driscoll’s berries.
As the nation’s largest food market cooperative, PCC takes farm worker rights very seriously. We continue to believe advocacy can take many forms — including staying engaged with vendors such as Driscoll’s to ask questions and urge better practices at the farms it buys from, including Sakuma. We’ll also continue to pursue opportunities at the federal level to ensure farmworkers have the same rights all workers deserve in this country.
While PCC has not sold Sakuma Bros. berries for more than two years, we feel it’s important to inform you of this development.
