2016 Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival

The Washington Artisan Cheesemakers Festival showcases a wide array of artisan and farmstead cheeses made in Washington. Meet the cheesemakers and sample some of the finest cheeses made locally.

Washington is home to nearly 70 cheesemakers. Download the Washington Artisan Cheese Map and explore the state’s thriving cheese industry. The festival is a benefit for the Cascade Harvest Coalition. More than 20 Washington cheesemakers plus local breweries, wineries, and other artisan producers will show their wares. PCC will share suggestions for pairing cheese with local hard ciders. Salmon Days Festival

Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2
10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Downtown Issaquah

Held over the course of two days, this award-winning event celebrates the return of salmon to local waters. It’s free and features more than 270 arts and crafts vendors displaying work across a wide range of media, including woodwork, glass, jewelry making, painting, metal work and pottery. Additionally, guests can enjoy live entertainment from five stages, various sporting events, engaging children’s activities and numerous food options.

The staff from Issaquah PCC will be participating in the parade beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 1.

Futurewise’s Feast with friends

Tuesday, October 4, 6 p.m.

Feast with friends is Futurewise’s signature benefit celebrating Washington’s rich agricultural bounty. Top Northwest chefs and restaurants partner with local farms and food artisans to create delectable tastings from fresh, seasonal ingredients paired with Washington wines. Women of Wonder Run

The third annual Women of Wonder Run will take place at Green Lake Park. This women-only event involves a 10K run/walk, a 5K run/walk, and the free PCC Healthy Kids Little Wonders Run (for girls and boys 10 and younger). Not only are we the fruit sponsor but we’re handing out our chocolate brownies to the finishers!

PCC Cooks

Will we see you in September? This month PCC Cooks wraps up summer quarter with plenty of inspiring options to close out the season with style. Master seafood cookery with 4 Ways to Cook Fish and Seafood; raise a toast to late summer’s bounty with Orchard Harvest Celebration; and savor Chinese buns and dumplings as you enjoy Shanghai Street Food. Lovely baked Crostatas, Tarts and Frittatas will get you ready to turn on your oven again after the hot weather; and teens get their own baking class with All About Pie — for Teens!
