Community Grant

and the award goes to…

We’re delighted to announce that our fourth Community Grant has been awarded to New Beginnings, whose mission is to empower survivors of domestic violence and mobilize community awareness on the issue.

Founded 38 years ago, it’s the oldest domestic violence organization in Seattle. Their advocacy programs, emergency shelter and transitional housing services provide countless practical and therapeutic services, and they offer a 14-week curriculum in three Seattle middle schools that promote the development of healthy interpersonal and partner relationships. Our grant will provide support for the food security of their short- and long-term residents.

Holiday Food Drive

Everyone deserves good food during the holidays. As we do every year, PCC is collecting contributions for our 11 local food bank partners from December 1 to 31, which will be used to purchase quality bulk foods at wholesale prices. At the register, you can grab a donation tag for $1, $5, $10 or $20, which the cashier can ring up. Or, you can have your total rounded up to the nearest dollar amount — every cent helps make a difference. We also offer bins in each store if you’d like to drop off nonperishable goods, or you can donate online via credit card.
