Tired of grabbing the same old bag? Here are some great options worth your snacking consideration that might even have you redefining what “chips” mean to you.

Riffs on corn

Kettle Tias! Nacho Cheddar: You now have permission to indulge your desire for Doritos-style chips. Made with organic corn, they come in a variety of flavors including Zesty Ranch and Salsa Picante.

Garden of Eatin’ Blue Chips: These hearty chips are a bit thicker than some chips and have a deep, flavorful corn taste. Gluten free and made with certified non-GMO organic corn. Also available in Sesame Blues or Red Hot Blues.

HALFPOPS Natural Butter & Sea Salt: While technically not a chip, these addictive morsels are so good we had to include them. Think kernels at the bottom of a popcorn bowl, but imagine them perfectly half-popped and full of condensed flavor. Locally made and gluten free. Also available in Aged White Cheddar.

Noteworthy alternatives

Beanitos Black Bean: Light, never oily, these are satisfyingly savory chips. Surprisingly, they’re made with beans and rice — and taste great. Honest. Made without gluten, wheat, soy or corn, they’re also low glycemic, non-GMO and high in fiber. Other flavors: Chipotle BBQ and Pinto Bean Cheddar.

popchips Barbeque: Deliciously light and tangy, popchips are lower in fat than most chips that are baked or fried, and they’re gluten free, to boot. Find them in six other flavors including Sea Salt and Vinegar, and Sour Cream & Onion.

Lundberg Sesame & Seaweed Rice: Rich in flavor and full of brown rice goodness in every bite, these rice chips hold up to dips just as well as their corn brethren. Wheat free, gluten free and made with organic grains. Also available in flavors such as Fiesta Lime and Wasabi.
