Each ticket is for one adult and one child aged 8-12. Dive into the art of crafting onigiri, Japans beloved rice balls, in this fun, hands-on class. Traditionally filled with pickled or salted ingredients to preserve them, onigiri remains a popular snack, lunch item, and symbol of comfort food in Japan today. In this class, youll learn the techniques for shaping and filling onigiri, explore a variety of traditional and modern fillings, and discover how to wrap them in nori (seaweed) for easy handling. Perfect for picnics, lunchboxes, or snacks on the go, these flavorful rice creations are as practical as they are delicious. NOTE: Each registration [spot] is for one adult and one child. About the instructor: Kanako is from Akita in northern Japan. She started cooking when she was in the third grade to help her working mother. She is a personal chef, instructor and author specializing in authentic Japanese home cooking. Her passion is bringing people together and spreading joy through everyday Japanese cooking and dining.
