Partnership with Powers Winery

Blended exclusively for PCC to benefit Washington Farmland Trust

Growing grapes since 1982 at Badger Mountain Vineyard (the first to be certified organic in the state), the Powers family has been a major force in promoting sustainable viticulture throughout the state. This earth-friendly philosophy isn’t just about grapes — Badger Mountain Vineyards has supported the Washington Farmland Trust since it was founded. For every bottle sold of their cabernet or chardonnay, two dollars are donated to the Farmland Trust, helping to sustain a future for farming in Washington.

Great Wine and Farmland Preservation

Since May 2007, Powers Winery of Kennewick, Wash. has donated $2 to the Washington Farmland Trust from every bottle of its
Chardonnay and Cabernet sold at PCC Community Markets. Sip by sip, you’re helping to protect Washington farmland.

Cabernet Sauvignon

This year’s model features classic Washington cabernet sauvignon with a dash of malbec and mourvedre lending breadth and depth. It begins with gorgeous aromatics of cassis and cherry liqueur laced with wafts of gravel, sage and Russian thistle, then picks up intensity on the palate and finishes with a satisfying grace.

Chardonnay

Not just a great bottle of chardonnay, this wine offers pure Washington character. Alluring aromas of white flowers, citrus and stone fruit, accents of peach pit, lily and a waft of smoke reverberate on the palate, joined by notes of citrus oil and gravel. All that lusciousness is presented on a sleek, nearly unctuous texture, marked by bright, crisp acidity.
