PCC in Burien

We are thrilled to open our newest PCC store in Burien on May 23rd! Located just off WA-509, PCC Burien will offer organic and local artisan products and will feature a yogurt bar, pizzeria, taqueria and a fine selection of locally sourced spirits. The store design includes a number of sustainability features, such as natural lighting, Forest Stewardship Certified wood, and power from renewable energy. Join us for PCC’s traditional cutting of organic pineapple at the grand opening!

Columbia City Farmers Market

The Columbia City Farmers Market begins on May 9. Columbia City PCC sponsors the Farmers Market, located right across the street from the store. Annual UW Bothell Husky 5K

Saturday, May 19
UW Bothell Campus
Registration begins at 8 a.m.

2018 marks the 13th anniversary of the UW Bothell 5k Run/Walk. This race is expected to host more than 1,200 runners and walkers. There will be music, family-oriented activities, such as face painting and a bouncy house, prizes and a complimentary breakfast following the race. PCC Bothell staff will offer bananas to all runners.

All proceeds from the race support student scholarships at UW Bothell. We are delighted to help students fulfill their academic endeavors. For information visit uwb.edu/alumni/events/5krun.

Grapes, Paws and Hops Festival

Saturday, June 9
1 to 5 p.m.
Marymoor Park, Redmond
Tickets $15 – $35; 18 and under free

The Redmond PCC will be sponsoring this pet adoption event, representing PCC with a booth and surprise giveaways! Join us for a pint of beer or a glass of wine with your canine at this dog-friendly beer and wine festival.

There will be live music, off-leash areas, vendors, food trucks, and an assortment of wine, beer and cider from local breweries and wineries. Dog Gone Seattle, Imagine Peace for Pups, Motley Zoo & Wigglin’s Home Boxer Rescue all will host pet adoptions at the festival.

Seattle Works Day

Saturday, June 23

Save the date! Seattle Works is a local nonprofit that builds community by connecting people with volunteer opportunities, including PCC’s bulk food packaging parties.

Seattle Works Day is a fundraising event where the entire community — individuals, nonprofits and companies — join Seattle Works’ mission of community service! Volunteers pay a registration fee to help make this ambitious day happen and to support Seattle Works’ valuable year-round community work.

Volunteer Teams will be assigned to tackle a project at one of more than 60 different sites around the city. This day is a great opportunity for nonprofits to get big projects done and for individuals to meet new people, have fun, and learn about Seattle’s resilient communities.

Seattle Works provides t-shirts, water, snacks, and hosts a family-friendly after-party to bring people together across age, location, job title and interest. PCC has arranged for vendors to offer snacks to feed the hardworking volunteers.

Claudia is a panini and sandwich production powerhouse in the Columbia City deli. She is a model of excellent customer service both in her attitude and execution. She has an open, friendly demeanor and never hesitates to help both customers and her coworkers. Claudia produces sandwiches and wraps that are beautiful and delicious. We appreciate Claudia as a vital member of our deli family.

PCC Cooks

At PCC Cooks, we strive to bring valuable food education into each of our classes, starting with the encouragement of making from-scratch food at home. Unprocessed food is one of the answers to a healthy life, and we are passionate about making it accessible to you, through selections such as Easy Power Breakfast or Supercharge Your Digestion.

We hope to bring an infectious excitement to the cause for future generations, with our class series After School Cooking Club: Pack Your Own Lunch. We believe we are well poised to “teach a man to fish,” with our technique-based classes like Mastering the Pan. It also is our hope to become one of the standards of food education, with classes like Plant-Forward Nutrition or Protein for a Vegetarian Diet, which create access to knowledge that will serve you well in whatever environment you find yourself. We love to cook, and we love it best of all when we get you cooking, too!
